Seidr - Norse Magic Divination Reading

Seidir is originally a Norse shamanic tradition from the Viking era, it’s another shamanic method of working with spirits and nature powers. It can be used to heal and to seek vision including knowledge about the future.

A ritual of staff, song and seat is used to arrive at a place called “the place of all the right answers”. When I am in the trance state , questions can be asked and answers received on any subject.

Seidr can be practiced one on one with a client or if you are lucky you can attend a High Seat Ceremony and get a reading from multiple practitioners (called Volva’s).

Embark on a journey of discovery, approach it with respect and honor the ancient wisdom that can be brought forth with a Seidr reading.

One of my favorite questions I like to ask on your behalf is “What is your talisman or lucky charm?” It is so interesting the answers that I receive and usually the client has a story to tell me regarding the lucky charm. As it may have already stepped up in their life and if not,it is time to embrace it as you move forward.

Spellcasting:

Another form of Seidr is spellcasting. I practice a simple reduction spell. What do you want to reduce in your life? Anger? Fear? Anxiety? Unhealthy eating? There are so many things that can be made better with a reduction spell. The most popular is anger, I always have people come back and tell me their anger is much less than before. One woman told me, “I am still annoyed, but I am not crazy angry anymore!” Reduction spell casting is a fun way to start the session and connect before the Seidr reading.

* * *

I was able to trace my family history back to the Viking era and found that the Viking King Rollo is actually my 42nd great grandfather. During a journey I was told I needed to learn norse magic and had no idea what that meant. Then while doing other classes with Betsy Bergstrom, I came across her norse magic class, Volva Vala Norn. So my ancestry brought me back to the ancient practice of the magic that was practiced possibly within my family and feel honored to keep the spirit of the old ways alive!
